Seasons

Your cars in the season

Mark which cars apply, give them a season price or a perk, and understand when it shows as an offer.

In «Tus autos» ("Your cars") you decide which cars take part in the season and with what offer. You can get them ready as soon as the season appears in your panel, even if your registration is still under review; your customers only see them while the season is running and your participation is active.

Before you start

  • Only your published cars appear.
  • Each car can have a season price, a perk, or both. To apply it needs at least one.

Mark a car

Find the car

Use «Buscar por marca, modelo o año» ("Search by make, model, or year") or the filters «Todos», «Aplican», «No aplican», and «Sin marcar» ("All", "Apply", "Don't apply", and "Not marked"), each with its count. If there are no results you see «Prueba con otra búsqueda o elige «Todos».» ("Try another search or choose "All".").

Tap «Editar» ("Edit")

«Promoción de temporada» ("Season promotion") opens with the car's name. Choose «Aplica» ("Applies") or «No aplica» ("Doesn't apply").

Set its season price

In «Precio de temporada» ("Season price", optional), type the price you're offering it at during the season. Below you see «Precio de hoy» ("Today's price"), «Precio más bajo en los 30 días antes de la temporada» ("Lowest price in the 30 days before the season"), and the «Ahorro» ("Savings").

Add a perk

In «Beneficio» ("Perk", optional), type what you're giving away or including, or tap a suggestion: «Seguro gratis el primer año» ("Free insurance the first year"), «Primer servicio gratis» ("First service free"), «Tenencia pagada» ("Vehicle tax paid"), «Verificación incluida» ("Emissions check included"), or «Garantía extendida» ("Extended warranty").

Review and save

In «Así se verá su tarjeta» ("This is how its card will look") you see the card as your customers will. Tap «Guardar» ("Save"). You see «Guardamos el cambio.» ("We saved the change.").

When it shows as an offer

For your season price to show as an offer, with the before price struck through and the savings percentage, it has to be lower than two things:

  • its price today, and
  • the lowest price the car had in the 30 days before the season started.

That lowest price is the «Antes» ("Before") your customers see. That way nobody can raise the price a few days earlier to inflate the discount, which is what consumer protection law asks for.

  • If your price isn't lower than today's, it isn't saved: «Tu precio de temporada tiene que ser menor a su precio de hoy.» ("Your season price has to be lower than its price today.").
  • If it's lower than today's but not lower than the lowest of those 30 days, it is saved, but it won't show as an offer. The editor tells you why, and the table says «no se verá como oferta» ("won't show as an offer"). If it also has a perk, the car applies with its perk and its regular price.

Several cars at once

Select the cars with each one's checkbox (or «Seleccionar todos», "Select all") and tap:

  • «Marcar que aplican» ("Mark as applying"): you give them all the same perk. Season prices are set car by car.
  • «Marcar que no aplican» ("Mark as not applying"): if any already had a season price or perk, it asks «¿Marcar que no aplican?» ("Mark as not applying?"), because they're erased and you'd have to set them again.
  • «Quitar selección» ("Clear selection") to start over.

What you see in the table

AplicaApplies

The car takes part. Under «Promoción» ("Promotion") you see its price, the before price, and the percentage, or its perk.

What you can do: Edit it.

No aplicaDoesn't apply

You marked it out of the season. During the season, your page says «No aplica para …» ("Doesn't apply for …").

What you can do: Edit it and mark it as applying.

Sin marcarNot marked

You haven't decided yet. For your customers it counts as not applying.

What you can do: Edit it.

Mercado Libre

The season price only shows on Cliquéalo during the season; on Mercado Libre your listing keeps its regular price.

When the season ends, your cars go back to their usual price on their own. You can't change anything anymore, but you can see how they ended up.

Scenarios

The usual case

You lower the price for the season

Your car costs $279,900 and you set $259,900. During the season your customers see $259,900, «Antes $279,900» ("Before $279,900"), and 7% savings. When it ends, it goes back to $279,900.

Something doesn't work the first time

You only give a perk

You don't change the price and set «Primer servicio gratis» ("First service free"). The car applies, with its regular price and the perk in view.

Worst case

You raised the price recently

Two weeks ago the car cost $319,900 and today $329,900. If you set $325,000, it's saved but doesn't show as an offer, because it isn't lower than $319,900.

Special case

You unpublish the car

It stops appearing in «Tus autos» ("Your cars") and on your page. If it was no longer published when you saved, you see «Este auto ya no está publicado en tu lote.» ("This car is no longer published on your lot.").

Errors and how to fix them

What you see · Season promotion

«Tu precio de temporada tiene que ser menor a su precio de hoy.»

Your season price has to be lower than its price today.

What it means. A season price can't be equal to or higher than today's.

What to do.

  1. Type a lower price, or leave the price empty and use only a perk.

What you see · Season promotion

«Para que aplique, ponle un precio de temporada o un beneficio.»

For it to apply, give it a season price or a perk.

What it means. You chose «Aplica» ("Applies") with no price or perk.

What to do.

  1. Type at least one of the two, or choose «No aplica» ("Doesn't apply").

What you see · Season promotion

«El beneficio debe tener entre 3 y 120 caracteres.»

The perk must be between 3 and 120 characters.

What it means. The perk is too short or too long.

What to do.

  1. Write it in a few words, for example «Tenencia pagada» ("Vehicle tax paid").

What you see · When saving

«Este auto ya no está publicado en tu lote.»

This car is no longer published on your lot.

What it means. The car was unpublished or sold while you were editing it.

What to do. Nothing; it no longer takes part in the season.
