Sounds, notices, and errors

Sounds

Listen to each Cliquéalo sound, when it plays, what it means, and how to turn it off.

Cliquéalo uses short, discreet sounds to confirm what's happening on screen. None of them is needed to use the site: if you turn them off, everything works the same. Tap the button on each card to listen to it.

How to turn them off

There are three different controls. Each sound below says which one applies to it.

  • Your system's reduced motion. If you turn on "Reduce motion" on your phone or computer (in the accessibility options), the sounds that go along with what you do or with what moves on screen turn off. It doesn't turn off the panel alerts, which tell you something arrived, or Sofia thinking: reducing motion isn't reducing sound.
  • Cookie notice. The soft click only plays if you tapped «Aceptar» ("Accept") on the «Cookies y datos» ("Cookies and data") notice. If you tapped «Rechazar» ("Reject"), it doesn't play. See Privacy, cookies, and sounds.
  • The bell's sound button. In the panel, open the notifications bell and tap the sound button («Silenciar sonido», "Mute sound", or «Activar sonido», "Turn on sound"). It turns off the panel alerts, including the conversation windows one, and the payment confirmed sound. It's remembered in this browser and applies to all its tabs.

Assistant sounds

The assistant («¿Te ayudo?», "Can I help?") can move you around the screen while you talk or write to it. Each move comes with its sound and a pop-up notice.

Go to another section

Plays when the assistant takes you to another screen, opens the catalog with filters, or starts a guide. Also when you tap a notice's button that takes you off the site, for example to WhatsApp. Turned off by reduced motion.

Point out

Plays when the assistant highlights part of the screen, when it finds the next step of a guide, or when it fills in a form with what you told it. Turned off by reduced motion.

Open

Plays when the assistant shows you a notice, when it offers to take you to another site, or when the assistant itself opens. Turned off by reduced motion.

Couldn't do it

Plays when the assistant couldn't do what you asked: it didn't find the section or the form on screen, or it couldn't open the route. It comes with a notice such as «No encontré esa sección en pantalla.» ("I couldn't find that section on screen."). Turned off by reduced motion.

Achievement sounds

Ad ready

Plays only once when you finish publishing your ad from «Anuncia», on the «Tu anuncio ya está publicado» ("Your ad is now published") or «Tu anuncio está en camino» ("Your ad is on its way") screen. Turned off by reduced motion.

Payment confirmed

Plays only once per payment when you come back from paying for your plan or an extra, and when the live notification of a confirmed payment arrives. When you come back from paying, it's turned off by reduced motion or by the bell's sound button. The live notification is an alert: only the bell's button turns it off and, if you have the panel in several tabs, it plays in just one.

Waiting sounds

Syncing

Soft music that fades in while you see the full-screen Mercado Libre sync («Sincronizando», "Syncing"; «Revisando publicaciones», "Reviewing ads"; «Identificando autos», "Identifying cars"…). It fades out when it finishes or when you tap «Seguir en segundo plano» ("Continue in the background"). Turned off by reduced motion.

Sofia thinking

Plays in a loop while Sofia, the panel assistant, prepares her answer («Sofia está preparando tu interfaz…», "Sofia is preparing your interface…"). It stops when she starts answering. It has no switch of its own and isn't turned off by reduced motion: mute the tab or your device if you don't want to hear it.

Interaction sounds

Soft click

A very quiet click every time the term changes as you turn the "Term" wheel in the credit simulator. It only plays if you accepted the cookie notice. Turned off by reduced motion.

Message sent

A short tap when you send a message in a chat. Turned off by reduced motion.

Follow-up saved

Plays when you tap «Guardar seguimiento» ("Save follow-up") in «¿Qué pasó con este contacto?» ("What happened with this contact?") and it's saved. Turned off by reduced motion.

Panel alerts

These sounds tell you something arrived while you work. They're turned off with the bell's sound button, not by reduced motion. Each arrival plays only once, even if you have the panel open in several tabs.

Something new arrived

A short, soft sound. It plays when a message or a store interaction arrives in your conversation windows (see Conversation windows), except a hot lead's, and when the bell receives an appointment, a quote, or a message from your team. It doesn't play for what you do yourself.

New prospect from a channel

Plays when a hot lead's interaction arrives in your conversation windows, whether it's from Mercado Libre or a credit quote. It also plays in the bell when a prospect arrives from a connected channel and doesn't open in your conversation windows. If the prospect isn't hot and it opens in a window, "Something new arrived" plays.

Reminder

Plays when something pending is about to be due or is already overdue.

See Notices and notifications.

The usual case

You publish your ad and hear "Ad ready".

Something doesn't work the first time

You don't hear the simulator's click

Check that you tapped «Aceptar» on the cookie notice and that your system doesn't have reduced motion.

Worst case

You don't hear any sound

Check your device's volume, that your phone isn't on silent, and that the tab isn't muted. Browsers, especially Safari on iPhone, don't let anything play until you tap the page for the first time: tap or click anywhere once. For the panel alerts, also check the bell's sound button.

Special case

You want the panel silent

Tap the bell's sound button. To turn off the sounds that go along with what you do, turn on reduced motion in your system.
