Your ad, one question at a time

Selling your car starts with a good ad, and the assistant makes it easy: it asks one question per screen and you just answer. You'll find it at cliquealo.mx/anuncia. The assistant's screens are in Spanish, so below you'll see each text with its translation.

You don't need an account to start; you create it at the end, when your ad is ready. Before you begin, have your vehicle registration card handy (for make, model, and year) and your photos.

In this guide you'll go through the assistant from start to finish, until you see your ad published.

Tell it about your car

In «¿Qué vas a publicar?» (“What are you going to publish?”) tap «Un auto» (“A car”). Then come make, model, year, body style, transmission, fuel, color, and mileage. Most questions move ahead on their own as soon as you tap an option.

In «¿Tienes el VIN a la mano?» (“Do you have the VIN handy?”) type the 17 characters and repeat them by hand in «Confirma el VIN» (“Confirm the VIN”). Careful: once it's saved, it can't be changed. If you don't have it right now, tap «Ahora no» (“Not now”).

Then, in «¿En cuánto lo vendes?» (“How much are you selling it for?”), type the price in pesos and tap «Continuar» (“Continue”).

Photos, location, and one last look

In «Enséñalo con fotos» (“Show it with photos”) tap «Agregar fotos» (“Add photos”) and upload up to 10. If you don't have them yet, tap «Agregar fotos después» (“Add photos later”).

In «¿Dónde está el auto?» (“Where is the car?”) choose your state and, if it shows up, your city. Buyers near you will appreciate it.

Then you reach «Así se verá tu anuncio» (“This is how your ad will look”), with the cover photo, title, price, and spec sheet, just as a buyer will see them. If something doesn't look right, tap the pencil next to it and fix it. When everything is fine, tap «Me gusta, publicar» (“Looks good, publish”).

Create your account and publish

Your details

In «Tu anuncio está listo» (“Your ad is ready”) enter your name, email, and a password of at least 8 characters; WhatsApp is optional.

Confirm your email

Enter the code you received and tap «Confirmar y publicar» (“Confirm and publish”). If it doesn't arrive, tap «Reenviar código» (“Resend code”).

Say how you'll sell

In «¿Cómo vas a vender?» (“How are you going to sell?”) tap «Particular» (“Individual”) to sell your own car, or «Agencia o lote» (“Agency or lot”) to sell as a business.

Some steps are skipped if you were signed in with a confirmed email or already have a store. Then «Publicando tu anuncio» (“Publishing your ad”) appears: don't close the screen. You'll end with «Tu anuncio ya está publicado» (“Your ad is now published”) or «Tu anuncio está en camino» (“Your ad is on its way”), meaning it's under review.

Keep in mind

What you enter is saved in that browser for 7 days, photos included. If you close the tab, you pick up where you left off.
«Regresar» (“Back”) takes you to the previous question.
The VIN can't be changed after it's saved, so check it carefully.
«Empezar de nuevo» (“Start over”) deletes your progress in that browser, but doesn't touch the ads you've already published.

Tip

Take your photos in daylight with the car clean. Good photos make more people stop at your ad.
