Connect and disconnect Mercado Libre
How to authorize your Mercado Libre account, what happens while we bring in your cars, how to sync manually, and how to disconnect it.
Before you start
- Your agency needs a plan that includes Mercado Libre: 50 cars or more, or a plan Cliquéalo manages and sets up to fit your agency.
- You need permission to manage connected apps. If you don't have it, you see «Pide al dueño de la agencia que conecte la cuenta de Mercado Libre.» ("Ask the agency's owner to connect the Mercado Libre account.").
- Sign in to Mercado Libre with the store's main account, the one that manages your ads. It must be a Mercado Libre México account.
Connect
Open the section
Go to AjustesIntegracionesConectar aplicaciones ("Settings > Integrations > Connect apps"). You see «Conecta tu cuenta» ("Connect your account").
Tap «Conectar Mercado Libre» ("Connect Mercado Libre")
A separate window opens: «Se abre en una ventana aparte. Autoriza y vuelve a esta pestaña.» ("It opens in a separate window. Authorize and come back to this tab."). If your browser blocks pop-up windows, the authorization opens in the same tab.
Authorize in Mercado Libre
Sign in to Mercado Libre and accept the permissions. The window says «Cuenta conectada» ("Account connected") and closes on its own.
Wait while we bring in your cars
In Cliquéalo you see a progress screen: «Sincronizando» ("Syncing"), «Revisando publicaciones» ("Reviewing ads"), «Identificando autos» ("Identifying cars"), «Vinculando inventario» ("Linking inventory"), «Preguntas y prospectos» ("Questions and prospects"), and «Casi listo» ("Almost done").
Syncing
When it's done you see «Listo. Tu cuenta y tus publicaciones quedaron conectadas.» ("Done. Your account and your ads are connected."). Your cars appear in your inventory.
Your password
Authorization happens in Mercado Libre. Cliquéalo never asks for or stores the seller's password.
Account statuses
The account works and syncs. Green dot.
What you can do: Sync or disconnect.
The account is connected, but the last sync failed. Below you see the reason.
What you can do: Tap «Sincronizar» (“Sync”) to retry.
Mercado Libre no longer lets us use the account.
What you can do: Tap «Conectar de nuevo» (“Connect again”) and authorize again.
You disconnected it. It no longer syncs.
What you can do: Tap «Conectar de nuevo».
Tap your account at the top of the screen to open «Cuentas conectadas» ("Connected accounts"). There you see, for each account, its status, how many cars it has published and how many are linked (for example, «60 autos · 2 vinculados», "60 cars · 2 linked"), and «Actualizada el…» ("Updated on…"), or «Aún no hemos traído tus publicaciones» ("We haven't brought in your ads yet").
Sync manually
Cliquéalo syncs your account on its own every so often. If you want to see a change now, tap «Sincronizar» (or the arrows icon next to your account).
When it's done you see a summary, for example «12 vehículos, 3 preguntas y 2 prospectos sincronizados.» ("12 vehicles, 3 questions, and 2 prospects synced."). If only the questions failed, it adds «No pudimos traer preguntas y prospectos esta vez; tus autos sí quedaron al día.» ("We couldn't bring in questions and prospects this time; your cars are up to date.").
You can sync up to 12 times per hour.
Several accounts
In «Cuentas conectadas» tap «Conectar otra cuenta» ("Connect another account") to add another Mercado Libre account. At the top you see «N cuentas conectadas» ("N connected accounts") and how many are active.
The WhatsApp on your ads
Mercado Libre shows a contact WhatsApp on your car ads. When you connect your account, Cliquéalo reads the phone number registered in your Mercado Libre account. Every ad you publish or update from Cliquéalo carries that WhatsApp, along with your agency's name and your contact email:
- If your Mercado Libre account has a valid phone number, your ads carry that one.
- If it doesn't, they carry your store's WhatsApp saved in AjustesMi agenciaEscaparate ("Settings > My agency > Storefront").
- If there's neither and your Mercado Libre account is a dealership account, you can't publish, update, or republish: you see «Agrega el WhatsApp de tu tienda en Mi agencia para publicar en Mercado Libre.» ("Add your store's WhatsApp in My agency to publish on Mercado Libre."). With any other type of account you can still publish.
Cliquéalo only reads your account
Cliquéalo never changes your Mercado Libre account details: it only reads your phone number. If you want a different WhatsApp on your ads, change it in your Mercado Libre account. Cliquéalo reads it again on its own every so often. Ads that are already published take the new number the next time you update them from Cliquéalo.
Disconnect
Open the account
In AjustesIntegracionesConectar aplicaciones, tap your account to open «Cuentas conectadas».
Disconnect
Tap «Desconectar» ("Disconnect"). It asks «¿Desconectar la cuenta?» ("Disconnect the account?"). Tap «Sí, desconectar» ("Yes, disconnect").
You see «Cuenta de Mercado Libre desconectada.» ("Mercado Libre account disconnected."). The account stops syncing and its permissions are withdrawn. Changes that were queued for that account are no longer sent. Your ads on Mercado Libre aren't deleted.
If Cliquéalo manages your plan
If your plan includes Cliquéalo managing your integrations, you need a Cliquéalo key to disconnect: write to us, the team sends it to you by WhatsApp, and you type it in «Llave de Cliquéalo» ("Cliquéalo key") when you disconnect. It works once and it expires.
If your plan doesn't let you disconnect them on your own, not even with a key, your account has no «Desconectar»: instead you see «Tu plan incluye que Cliquéalo administre tus integraciones. Para desconectarlas, escríbenos.» ("Your plan includes Cliquéalo managing your integrations. To disconnect them, write to us."). Write to us. See Plan managed by Cliquéalo.
The usual case
Connected on the first try
You authorize, see the progress screen, and your cars appear in the inventory.
Something doesn't work the first time
It connected but didn't bring in cars
You see «La cuenta quedó conectada, pero no pudimos traer tus autos. Intenta sincronizar de nuevo.» ("The account is connected, but we couldn't bring in your cars. Try syncing again."). Tap «Sincronizar».
Worst case
You canceled or the authorization failed
You see a red notice with the reason, for example «La autorización fue cancelada en Mercado Libre.» ("The authorization was canceled in Mercado Libre."). Tap «Conectar Mercado Libre» again. See Mercado Libre errors.
Special case
The connection isn't available yet
If you see «La conexión aún no está disponible. Contacta al equipo de Cliquéalo.» ("The connection isn't available yet. Contact the Cliquéalo team."), the button doesn't appear. Write to us.
Errors
What you see · Connected accounts
«Mercado Libre no confirmó la desconexión. Intenta de nuevo.»
Mercado Libre didn't confirm the disconnection. Try again.
What it means. Mercado Libre didn't respond when the permissions were withdrawn. The account is still connected.
What to do. Wait a moment and tap «Desconectar» again. If you used a Cliquéalo key, it still works: type it again.
What you see · Sync
«Demasiadas sincronizaciones de Mercado Libre en poco tiempo. Espera unos minutos.»
Too many Mercado Libre syncs in a short time. Wait a few minutes.
What to do. Wait. Meanwhile, Cliquéalo keeps syncing on its own.
What you see · Sync or disconnect
«No tienes permiso para gestionar canales de esta cuenta.»
You don't have permission to manage this account's channels.
What to do. Ask whoever manages your agency for the connected apps permission.
What you see · Disconnect
«Tu plan incluye que Cliquéalo administre tus integraciones. Para desconectarlas, pídenos una llave y escríbela aquí.»
Your plan includes Cliquéalo managing your integrations. To disconnect them, ask us for a key and type it here.
What it means. Cliquéalo manages your plan, and it includes the team managing your Mercado Libre account. The account stays connected.
What to do. Write to us and ask for a key; type it in «Llave de Cliquéalo» before it expires. If the key doesn't work, you see «La llave no es válida, ya se usó o ya venció. Pídenos una nueva.» ("The key isn't valid, was already used, or already expired. Ask us for a new one."). See Plan managed by Cliquéalo.
