Mercado Libre errors
The messages you may see when connecting, publishing, updating, managing an ad, or answering on Mercado Libre, what they mean, and what to do.
Mercado Libre errors appear in a red notice at the top of the screen, in the car's list of problems, or in «Actividad» ("Activity"). Many include the text Mercado Libre sent, with the prefix «Mercado Libre:».
When connecting your account
What you see · Connect apps
«La autorización fue cancelada en Mercado Libre.»
The authorization was canceled in Mercado Libre.
What it means. You closed or rejected the permissions window.
What to do. Tap «Conectar Mercado Libre» ("Connect Mercado Libre") again and accept the permissions.

«La autorización expiró. Inicia la conexión nuevamente.»
The authorization expired. Start the connection again.
What to do. Start again from «Conectar Mercado Libre», without taking too long in the Mercado Libre window.

What it means. Your plan doesn't include Mercado Libre. Agency plans of 50 cars or more include it, and so do the plans Cliquéalo manages and sets up to fit your agency.

What to do. Ask your agency's owner for the connected apps permission or to connect the account themselves.

Mercado Libre didn't grant the permission to keep the account connected. Authorize with the store's administrator account and try again.
What to do. Same as the previous one: connect with the administrator account.

What to do. Try again in a few minutes. If it happens again, write to us.
Other connection messages, such as «Falta completar la configuración de Mercado Libre.» ("The Mercado Libre setup is incomplete."), «La aplicación de Cliquéalo aún no tiene habilitado el permiso para mantener la cuenta conectada en Mercado Libre.» ("The Cliquéalo app doesn't have the permission to keep the account connected on Mercado Libre enabled yet."), or «Mercado Libre no devolvió el código de autorización.» ("Mercado Libre didn't return the authorization code."), don't depend on you. Write to us if you see them.
With your account already connected
Cliquéalo renews access to your Mercado Libre account on its own. If Mercado Libre doesn't allow it, in «Cuentas conectadas» ("Connected accounts") you see one of these messages below your account. Until it's resolved, your changes don't reach Mercado Libre.

«Mercado Libre revocó la autorización. Conecta la cuenta nuevamente.»
Mercado Libre revoked the authorization. Connect the account again.
What it means. Mercado Libre no longer accepts the permission you gave Cliquéalo; for example, because you removed it from your Mercado Libre account. Your account ends up in «Autorización vencida» ("Authorization expired").
What to do. Tap «Conectar de nuevo» ("Connect again") and authorize with the store's main account.
What you see · Connected accounts
«Mercado Libre pide que completes datos o documentos en tu cuenta de Mercado Libre. Complétalos allá y vuelve a intentar; si sigue sin funcionar, conecta la cuenta otra vez.»
Mercado Libre is asking you to complete details or documents in your Mercado Libre account. Complete them there and try again; if it still doesn't work, connect the account again.
What it means. Mercado Libre stopped access until you complete pending details or documents in your account, for example identity ones. Your account ends up in «Requiere atención» ("Needs attention").
What to do.
- Sign in to Mercado Libre with the store's main account and complete what it asks for.
- Go back to Cliquéalo and tap «Sincronizar» ("Sync").
- If the message is still there, in «Cuentas conectadas» tap «Conectar otra cuenta» ("Connect another account") and authorize the same Mercado Libre account. The same account is connected again, without being duplicated.
What you see · Connected accounts
«No se pudo renovar la conexión con Mercado Libre. Lo volveremos a intentar.»
The connection with Mercado Libre couldn't be renewed. We'll try again.
What it means. Renewing access didn't finish; for example, because Mercado Libre didn't respond. It doesn't depend on you. If it appears under your account, the account ends up in «Requiere atención». It can also appear on a send in «Actividad» ("Activity"): that send didn't reach Mercado Libre and is retried on its own.
What to do. Wait: Cliquéalo tries again on its own. If the message is still there after several hours, write to us.
When publishing or updating
These appear in the wizard when you tap «Consultar requisitos» ("Check requirements") or «Guardar y validar» ("Save and validate"), in «Revisa también en Inventario» ("Also review in Inventory").
What you see · Publish a car
«Publica primero el vehículo en Cliquéalo antes de enviarlo al canal.»
Publish the vehicle on Cliquéalo before sending it to the channel.
What to do. Publish the car on Cliquéalo and wait for it to be published.

The price is below Mercado Libre's minimum (N).
What it means. Mercado Libre has a minimum and a maximum price per category. The message states the exact value. If you go over the maximum you see «El precio excede el máximo de Mercado Libre (N).» ("The price exceeds Mercado Libre's maximum (N).").
What to do. Check the price. If it's correct, it can't be published in that category.

Enter the street and number for Mercado Libre.
What to do. Enter the street and number in «Mercado Libre necesita estos datos» ("Mercado Libre needs these details") and tap «Guardar y validar».
What you see · Publish a car

The city or neighborhood couldn't be resolved in Mercado Libre's current catalog.
What to do. Check that the city and the neighborhood are spelled correctly.

«Agrega el WhatsApp de tu tienda en Mi agencia para publicar en Mercado Libre.»
Add your store's WhatsApp in My agency to publish on Mercado Libre.
What it means. Mercado Libre asks for the seller's WhatsApp on car ads. It shows up when your Mercado Libre account is a dealership account, has no valid phone number registered, and your store doesn't have a valid WhatsApp saved either. Until you add it, you can't publish, update, or republish ads with that account. If it shows up when you update or republish from «Publicaciones» ("Ads") or from the car's «Canales» ("Channels"), the send stays in «Actividad» ("Activity") with «Requiere datos» ("Needs details").
What to do. Add a phone number to your Mercado Libre account or save your store's WhatsApp in Cliquéalo. The fastest way is to enter it in the publishing wizard:
- Open the wizard with «Publicar un auto» ("Publish a car"), with «Completar datos faltantes» ("Complete missing details") in «Publicaciones» ("Ads"), or with «Editar publicación» ("Edit ad") in the car's «Canales» ("Channels"), and tap «Consultar requisitos» ("Check requirements").
- In «Mercado Libre necesita estos datos» ("Mercado Libre needs these details"), enter the number in «WhatsApp de tu tienda» ("Your store's WhatsApp"), with its area code, for example 33 1234 5678.
- Tap «Guardar y validar» ("Save and validate"). The number is saved as your store's phone in Mi agencia.
- When you see «Mercado Libre validó el contrato completo» ("Mercado Libre validated the full contract"), send the car.
The field only shows up if your role has the «Editar perfil de agencia» ("Edit agency profile") permission. If it doesn't, ask whoever manages your agency to add it in AjustesMi agenciaEscaparate ("Settings > My agency > Storefront"), with «Editar contacto» ("Edit contact"): in «Teléfono» ("Phone") they enter your store's WhatsApp and tap «Guardar» ("Save"). Then validate the car again and send it again.
Before you save it, keep in mind that this number:
- Receives private WhatsApp notices about appointments, messages, and credit applications only if you check «Recibir avisos por WhatsApp en este teléfono» ("Get WhatsApp notices on this phone") in Mi agencia. Saving it from the wizard doesn't turn notices on or off.
- Shows on your storefront if «Mostrar teléfono y WhatsApp en el perfil público» ("Show phone and WhatsApp on the public profile") is checked.
- Goes to Mercado Libre as the seller's contact when you publish or update an ad and your Mercado Libre account has no phone number, along with your agency's name and your contact email. See The WhatsApp on your ads.

What you see · Publish a car
«Escribe un WhatsApp válido para tu tienda, con lada. Por ejemplo: 33 1234 5678.»
Enter a valid WhatsApp for your store, with the area code. For example: 33 1234 5678.
What it means. The number you entered in «WhatsApp de tu tienda» ("Your store's WhatsApp") doesn't exist or is missing digits. Nothing was saved.
What to do. Check the number. If it's from Mexico, enter the 10 digits with the area code. If it's from another country, enter it with its country code, for example +1 650 213 7552. Tap «Guardar y validar» ("Save and validate") again.
What you see · Publish a car
«No pudimos guardar el WhatsApp de tu tienda. Intenta de nuevo.»
We couldn't save your store's WhatsApp. Try again.
What it means. The number is valid, but it couldn't be saved to your agency.
What to do. Tap «Guardar y validar» ("Save and validate") again. If it happens again, save it from AjustesMi agenciaEscaparate ("Settings > My agency > Storefront"), with «Editar contacto» ("Edit contact").
What you see · Publish a car
«La descripción no puede incluir teléfonos, correos ni enlaces externos.»
The description can't include phone numbers, emails, or external links.
What to do. Remove those details from the car's description.
What you see · Publish a car
«Tu plan de Mercado Libre no tiene lugares libres para publicar este auto. Libera un lugar o amplía tu paquete en Mercado Libre y vuelve a intentar.»
Your Mercado Libre plan has no free spots to publish this car. Free up a spot or expand your package on Mercado Libre and try again.
What it means. You've used every ad your Mercado Libre package includes. Cliquéalo checks this before sending the car, so nothing was sent.
What to do.
- On Mercado Libre, close or end an ad you no longer use, or expand your package.
- Publish the car again from Cliquéalo.

What to do. Fill in the marked field. If it's a list, choose a value with «Selecciona una opción» ("Select an option").
What you see · Mercado Libre needs these details, in «VIN (número de serie)»
«El VIN tiene 17 caracteres y escribiste 6.»
The VIN has 17 characters and you typed 6.
What it means. You typed a VIN that isn't complete: it's typed with its 17 characters. It's optional; if you don't have it, leave both fields empty. The number changes depending on what you typed. The other VIN notices can show up in the same place, such as «El VIN no usa las letras I, O ni Q. Revisa si en su lugar va 1 o 0.» ("The VIN doesn't use the letters I, O, or Q. Check whether it should be 1 or 0 instead.") or «El VIN es de un auto año modelo 2020 y la publicación dice 2021.» ("The VIN is from a model year 2020 car and the ad says 2021.").
What to do.
- Type the full VIN, exactly as it appears on the registration card.
- Type it again, by hand, in «Confirma el VIN» ("Confirm the VIN") and tap «Guardar y validar».

What you see · Mercado Libre needs these details, in «Confirma el VIN»
«Escribe el VIN otra vez en «Confirma el VIN».»
Type the VIN again in «Confirma el VIN» (Confirm the VIN).
What it means. You typed the VIN but not its confirmation. You may also see «El VIN y su confirmación no coinciden. Revisa los dos carácter por carácter.» ("The VIN and its confirmation don't match. Check both character by character.") if the two aren't the same. Nothing was saved.
What to do.
- Type the VIN by hand in «Confirma el VIN»: pasting isn't allowed there.
- When you see «Coinciden» ("They match"), tap «Guardar y validar».
What you see · Publish a car, when you tap «Guardar y validar»
«Este auto ya tiene su VIN registrado y no se puede cambiar.»
This car already has its VIN registered and it can't be changed.
What it means. While you had the wizard open, someone registered this car's VIN, for example by editing it. A registered VIN no longer changes and the wizard didn't save the one you typed.
What to do.
- Close the wizard and open it again. Since the car already has a VIN, it no longer asks for it.
- If the registered VIN is wrong, it can't be corrected: see If the VIN is wrong.
What you see · Publish a car, when you tap «Guardar y validar»
«Ya tienes otra publicación activa con este VIN. Si es el mismo auto, edita esa publicación.»
You already have another active ad with this VIN. If it's the same car, edit that ad.
What it means. Another one of your ads that isn't sold or archived already has that VIN. It wasn't saved.
What to do.
- Check that the VIN is this car's.
- If it's the same car published twice, keep a single ad and send that one to Mercado Libre.

When pausing, activating, closing, republishing, or deleting
These appear in a red notice when you tap an action in «Publicaciones» ("Ads") or in the car's «Canales» ("Channels").
What you see · Mercado Libre ads or the car's Channels
«Este anuncio ya se eliminó de Mercado Libre.»
This ad was already deleted from Mercado Libre.
What it means. The ad no longer exists on Mercado Libre; for example, another person on your team deleted it. Nothing was sent.
What to do. Reload the page. The car stays in your inventory.
What you see · Mercado Libre ads or the car's Channels
«Esa acción no está disponible para este anuncio en Mercado Libre.»
That action isn't available for this ad on Mercado Libre.
What it means. The ad changed status since you opened the page; for example, someone paused or closed it. That action no longer applies. Nothing was sent.
What to do. Reload the page and choose from the actions that appear. See Mercado Libre in Cliquéalo.
What you see · Mercado Libre ads or the car's Channels
«Sólo puedes activar o republicar un vehículo publicado en Cliquéalo.»
You can only activate or republish a vehicle that's published on Cliquéalo.
What to do. Publish the car on Cliquéalo before activating or republishing it.
When unlinking an ad from the car
These appear in a red notice when you tap «Desvincular» ("Unlink") in the car's «Canales».
What you see · The car's Channels
«Este anuncio sigue en Mercado Libre. Ciérralo o elimínalo antes de desvincularlo.»
This ad is still on Mercado Libre. Close it or delete it before unlinking it.
What it means. The ad is no longer closed on Mercado Libre; for example, someone republished it. It wasn't unlinked.
What to do. Reload the page. If you want to take the ad down, close it or delete it first. See Mercado Libre in Cliquéalo.
What you see · The car's Channels
«Este anuncio ya no está vinculado a ningún auto.»
This ad is no longer linked to any car.
What it means. Someone unlinked it before you, or it was unlinked on its own because it was deleted on Mercado Libre.
What to do. Reload the page. If you want to list the car, tap «Publicar en Mercado Libre» ("Publish on Mercado Libre").

What to do. Write something or shorten your answer.

What you see · Activity or Mercado Libre notice

We had a problem saving on Cliquéalo. If it happens again, write to us.
What it means. The send didn't finish because of a problem on Cliquéalo's side, not with your account or your ad. Cliquéalo tries again on its own.
What to do. Wait a few minutes. If the message is still in «Actividad», write to us with the car and the time.
Usage limits
What you see · Mercado Libre ads

Too many Mercado Libre operations in a short time. Wait a few minutes.
What it means. You sent many actions (pause, activate, update, link, unlink…) within an hour.
What to do. Wait and try again.
What you see · Sync
«Demasiadas sincronizaciones de Mercado Libre en poco tiempo. Espera unos minutos.»
Too many Mercado Libre syncs in a short time. Wait a few minutes.
What to do. Wait. You can sync manually up to 12 times per hour.
