Location and branch
Say where the car is so nearby buyers can find it, and choose which branch of your store it belongs to.
The location is optional, but it helps nearby buyers find your car. The branch only applies if your store has more than one.
Location in the wizard
In «¿Dónde está el auto?» ("Where is the car?"), «Ayuda a los compradores cercanos a encontrarlo.» ("Help nearby buyers find it."):
Choose the state
Open «Estado» ("State") and choose from «Selecciona tu estado» ("Select your state").
Choose the city
If the state has cities in the list, «Ciudad» ("City") appears. Choose from «Selecciona tu ciudad» ("Select your city"). It's optional.
Continue
Tap «Ver mi anuncio» ("See my ad"). The button turns on as soon as you choose the state. If you don't want to give the location, tap «Prefiero no decirlo por ahora» ("I'd rather not say for now").
Location in the panel form
The panel lets you be more precise:
- State. «Selecciona estado» ("Select state").
- City. It turns on when you choose a state («Selecciona estado primero» ("Select state first")).
- ZIP code. «Ingresa código postal» ("Enter ZIP code") with 5 digits.
- Neighborhood. «Se llena con el código postal» ("Filled in from the ZIP code"): when you type the ZIP code, its neighborhoods appear so you can choose one.
All of them are optional. But if you type a ZIP code, you also have to choose the neighborhood, and they must match the state and the city.
Branch
If your store has more than one active branch, the «Sucursal» ("Branch") field appears in «Editar» ("Edit"): «Determina a qué sucursal cuenta esta publicación dentro del reparto de tu plan.» ("Determines which branch this ad counts toward within your plan's allocation.").
Open the car
In PanelInventario ("Panel > Inventory") open the car and go to «Editar».
Choose the branch
Open «Sucursal» and choose the right one.
Save
Tap «Guardar cambios» ("Save changes").
With a single branch the field doesn't appear: all your cars count toward it. How your plan's spots are split among branches is explained in Agency and team.
The usual case
Something doesn't work the first time
Your city doesn't appear
Leave only the state. The city is optional.
Worst case
The ZIP code doesn't match
An error appears when you save. Make sure the ZIP code belongs to the state and city you chose, or delete it.
Special case
You'd rather not give the location
In the wizard tap «Prefiero no decirlo por ahora». The car is published without a location; you can add it later from «Editar».
Errors and how to fix them
What you see · Panel form, when saving
«Selecciona un estado válido.»
Select a valid state.
What it means. The state is empty or isn't from the list, but you filled in the city.
What to do.
- Choose the state from the list.
What you see · Panel form, when saving
«Selecciona una ciudad válida para ese estado.»
Select a valid city for that state.
What it means. The city doesn't belong to the chosen state.
What to do.
- Choose the city again after choosing the state.
What you see · Panel form, when saving
«Indica un código postal válido de 5 dígitos.»
Enter a valid 5-digit ZIP code.
What it means. The ZIP code doesn't have 5 numbers.
What to do.
- Correct it or delete it.
What you see · Panel form, when saving
«Selecciona una colonia válida para el código postal.»
Select a valid neighborhood for the ZIP code.
What it means. You typed a ZIP code but didn't choose a neighborhood, or the neighborhood isn't from that ZIP code.
What to do.
- Open «Colonia» ("Neighborhood") and choose one from the list.
What you see · Panel form, when saving
«El código postal no pertenece al estado seleccionado.»
The ZIP code doesn't belong to the selected state.
What it means. The ZIP code is from another state. If you see «El código postal no pertenece a la ciudad seleccionada.» ("The ZIP code doesn't belong to the selected city."), it's from another city.
What to do.
- Check the ZIP code or change the state and the city.
